Bored with being locked down? Do a home workout!

There is literally no reason to be bored at home or to become a couch potato with these current world events staring us in the face.

Trying to get my quota of weekly exercise in is a must, especially now that we're being advised to stay home even more.

Yes, boredom has set in and let's be honest, while all these restrictions are necessary to curb the rate of infection from SARS-CoV-2, we are ALL getting a severe case of cabin fever.

I am trying at this point to stay in at least 3 to 4 days a week with the exception of going to the store quickly for at least 15 to 20 minutes.  I go prepared with a shopping list so I don't have to be there for too long, get some groceries for the rest of the week so I don't have to act like a hamster.

I do feel it is my responsibility to stick to the measures put in place by the medical community, while they are learning more about this novel virus and the disease (COVID-19) it causes.

So needless to say, I do still feel like a chicken cooped up with avian influenza.

That's why I woke up quite resolute this morning in my quest to overcome this feeling and took to the internet. I absolutely love Tae Bo as an overall workout and have actually been doing it at home for years until recently. Billy Blanks is an incredibly inspiring, no-nonsense motivator and I just love the fact that he has free workout sessions on Youtube. Thanks Billy!

This is so much fun. I promise! If you have kids, even more fun to get them in on the workouts!

Thus, I have no excuse to exercise. Or be bored for that matter. And if you live in a country where access to the internet is not an issue, you can also check out some of his exercise videos out here.

But the internet is not the only way you can get some exercise! Just be creative and find a way to stay healthy. And an added benefit is that exercise gives you a natural high (haha) by the release of endorphins in your bloodstream.

So let's be encouraged today to do our best to curb this corona outbreak, but still live our lives to the fullest. I'm beating this Corona lock down one punch at a time!

Love y'all.
